Killihump's Favorite Pumpkin & Oktoberfest Brews (2018)

It's that time of year! This is probably our favorite season for beer... to us, there's nothing better than sitting by a bonfire, or taking a walk in the woods with your favorite autumn brew! So we figured we'd compile a list of some of our favorite Oktoberfest & pumpkin beers!! How many of these have you had?

New Belgium Pumpkick 6%
Killi-hump-kin!
So we know not everyone embraces the whole pumpkin thing. We get it. Somehow everything has pumpkin spice in it this time of year - and some of it definitely has been pushed too far. I, (Meg), personally can't get enough of it - I was born in October and I'm all about pumpkin-cinnamon-apple anything! However that doesn't mean every pumpkin brew I've had is awesome... there's certainly been a few I'm not so into. That being said, here is my list of favorite pumpkin beers! I literally just tried #7 a few nights ago and I can't wait to have it again - easily a favorite already!

Hump-toberfest!
Given Chris's German roots, he's always been drawn to and in love with marzens and other German style brews. He loves them because they are usually low ABV and easy drinking - as most German beers were intended to be. However there's definitely a few on this list that are upwards in alcohol content! It certainly didn't take Chris long to come up with a list and it was pretty hard to narrow it down! Half of this list are classics that we literally have been drinking for years... and there's a couple of locals in there as well! Prost!

  1. Hofbrau Oktoberfestbeir 6.3% (Munchen, Germany)
  2. Spaten Oktoberfest Ur-Marzen 5.9% (Munchen, Germany)
  3. Avery The Kaiser Imperial Octoberfest 8% (Boulder, CO)
  4. Victory Festbier 5.6% (PA)
