(note: since this day, we actually found another double label Conga bottle at Oak Tree Wine & Spirits in Groton, but I don't think we get to do the lunch thing twice, ha!)
We had an awesome lunch and had fun tasting brews in the tasting room. Sean showed us around a little and we met a few regulars who were celebrating a birthday. I got to be in a few of their videos - I guess they are aspiring film makers. I'm not exactly sure what was happening, but it was fun ha!
Talk about perfect timing... they just happened to get their delivery of hoodies while we were there! I was one of the first to purchase one - I even got mine before my buddy Tom, who is a rep for Revival! Ha!
Huge thanks to Sean & crew for the hospitality! If you haven't yet been to Revival Brewing/Brutopia - do it! In addition to their amazing brews, they have a really sweet tasting room downstairs and the restaurant has killer food!

Anyone who knows Chris knows that he's always thinking... planning... scheming? Anyway. He decided while at Revival that we should take a drive to the old Rocky Point Park - which once was an amusement park that closed in 1995. It's probably a 20 minute drive from Revival and it was pretty warm out for February... so off we went. There's only a few things left on the property that even hint that it was an amusement park... so cool though!
Of course we brought a beer to enjoy during our walk around, and this one was killer - thanks to Jenna and Dez for hooking us up - Tree House Julius IPA 6.8% - holy juicy! Loved!!

We also realized that Proclamation Brewing in West Kingston, RI wasn't too far away and hadn't
been there in awhile. So of course we stopped in to see what they had brewin'. They had completely redone their tasting room since we had been there last
- and it's beautiful! We tasted Derivative pale ale with Galaxy hops 6%; the Stalk IIPA 8.5% and the Broze oatmeal stout 5.5%. All were solid beers - and apparently it's their first go around with the stout. I'd say they nailed this one right off the bat! Hope they continue to do the dark beers!

After a fun day in RI, we made our way back home and decided to stop in for dinner to our favorite place 2 Brothers Restaurant & Pub in Salem, CT. Our good friend Nik and his family run one hell of a place - excellent food with killer selection of craft beer - and I (Meghan) am a proud mug club member! I discovered this place with my bassist Adam a few years ago as we rehearse close by - and we started stopping in weekly for dinner & beer before band rehearsal. Nik has our band sticker displayed on the front door of the restaurant! How cool and we are honored! It's become one of my go-to places and I can't tell you how much I love this place! Can't say enough good things. Stop in and get yourself a pizza and a beer and tell Nik we sent you!!
Somehow we managed to convince Sean Larkin (head brewer of Revival) to also make the trek to 2 Brothers for dinner. Chaos ensued... I mean what else did you expect?

We then all ventured to High 5's in New London and even more chaos ensued...
