So we've been having some fun over the last few weeks! We hit up Boston for a Red Sox game and we stopped into a really cool place called Worden Hall in south Boston!

We're Back: Kentucky Road Trip / Catching up

Sorry it's been soooo long! Did you miss us!? We took a super-awesome-fun-time road trip to Louisville, Kentucky earlier in July to visit Chris's mom - and it's just been crazy since we got back! If you follow us on Facebook or Untappd then you know we've still been drinking lots of brew - and YES, we sure did bring LOTS of beer home....

A Visit to Grey Sail Brewing's New Tap Room!

It was a short weekend for us beer wise, but we managed to get out Sunday for a bit! We heard through the grapevine, (thanks Jeff Thunders!), that Grey Sail Brewing was having a soft opening for their new tap room - which we hadn't heard about - of course we wanted to check it out, so off we went to Westerly, RI....

Another beer-centric weekend in the books! Here's what went down...

Long Trail Green Blaze / Beer'd / Cottrell / Mia's / Cold Creek Winnie

Well we had another busy weekend and anyone who's been following along knows that we often hit quite a few places in a day... Saturday was no different! We started off our day at A&P Liquors in Mystic to see what they had cold - as we figured we would grab some lunch over at Sea Swirl and bring some beer along. This is what we found....

Duvig / Thimble Island / Stony Creek / Haywire

We had another fun filled Sunday driving around and hitting breweries! This time we drove down to Branford, CT and hit up Duvig Brewing - which Chris has been to, but I had not, so I was really excited to check them out!

Record Store Day

So this passed Saturday was Record Store Day! There were quite a few things going on at our local independent record stores The Telegraph and Mystic Disc, so we hit them up and then *of course* found our way to the beer...

These Guys Brewing

We finally got to try beers from These Guys Brewing in Norwich, CT! We had been there twice before but they weren't yet brewing their own beer so we were only able to drink guest beers and sample some of their food menu. By the by, make sure to get the brussel sprouts if you stop in, so amazing! This was a fun trip with our friends Jeff & Judy and even our friends Adrian & Becky stopped in for a pint!

Easter Beer Tour / Meg's 1000th

We decided Easter should be about enjoying the nice weather, walking some trails... and drinking beer of course! We hit up an insane amount of places in one day... and at the end of the day we popped a special brew for Meghan's 1000th unique beer check-in on Untapp'd...

Revival Double Label Conga / Rocky Point / Proclamation / 2 Brothers

So this little baby right here, (Revival Conga IIPA 10.5%), got us a free lunch and a tour/tasting at Revival Brewing (Brutopia) in Cranston, RI - thanks to it's double label! Brewer Sean Larkin threw out a post on Facebook saying there were a few of these that got loose on accident and if anyone found one he'd buy that person lunch. No surprise that Chris immediately went on a hunt - and wouldn't you know it, he found one at Gordon's Yellow Front!  

(note: since this day, we actually found another double label Conga bottle at Oak Tree Wine & Spirits in Groton, but I don't think we get to do the lunch thing twice, ha!)

Two Roads Igor Day / Aspetuck Brew Lab

Ah, Two Roads Brewing "Igor Day". Probably my favorite day of the winter - a special annual bottle release for probably one of my all time favorite beers, Igor's Dream! It's an 11% Russian Imperial stout (seasonal) made with rye and aged in oak whiskey barrels. As always Two Roads never disappoints with their events and it was a super killer day - and on our way home we stopped at a newly discovered brewery - Aspetuck Brew Lab in Black Rock/Bridgeport.
